What does it look like to have macular degeneration?
Macular degeneration causes the details at the center of vision to blur or look wavy, and as the condition worsens, a blank or dark space will gradually appear. This can make it hard to see what is straight ahead of you, and activities like reading, texting, driving, and recognizing faces can become difficult or impossible.
